A small organization with deep roots.
Touch Haiti is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization focused on supporting families and strengthening opportunity in Petite Rivière de Nippes and surrounding communities.
Our work begins with a simple idea: meaningful change does not always start with something enormous. Sometimes it begins with one person, one family, one student, one repaired home—or one helping hand willing to reach another.

THE STORY BEHIND THT
Built from connection.
Driven by responsibility.
Touch Haiti was created from a personal connection to Haiti and a desire to turn that connection into practical support for people and communities.
Today, our focus is intentionally local. Petite Rivière de Nippes is more than a place on a map—it is home, history and community. By concentrating our efforts there and in nearby areas, Touch Haiti can stay connected to the people our work is meant to serve and grow responsibly as resources and partnerships develop.
We know the challenges facing Haiti are far larger than any one organization can solve. THT is not trying to be everything to everyone. We are choosing to do what we can, where we can, and to do it with care.

WHAT THE NAME MEANS
Help can travel farther than the hand that gives it.
A helping hand may begin with one act—school support, food for a family, help repairing a home, training for a new skill—but its effect can reach children, parents, neighbors and future generations.
That ripple is the idea behind Touch Haiti. We believe focused acts of support can touch many lives when they are connected to dignity, opportunity and community.

Touch Haiti has evolved through changing circumstances, but the purpose has remained the same: help where we can and keep building toward something lasting.
Helping where possible
Family needs, education, recovery and community support helped shape the areas where Touch Haiti could make a practical difference.
Adapting to difficult realities
Years of insecurity have limited what can safely be done directly on the ground. Rather than pretend otherwise, THT has used this period to reassess and prepare.
Rebuilding with purpose
With nonprofit status in place and a renewed digital home, Touch Haiti is preparing to reconnect support, partnerships and future projects as conditions allow.
